Polar Shades Produces PPE, Gowns & Masks, for Healthcare & First Responder Professionals

With a little retooling and generous donations from the community, Polar Shades converted our shade manufacturing equipment and factory in order to help create more PPC, like gowns and masks, for those on the front lines. We are so proud of our community and employees for stepping up for this challenge. Together, we are VEGAS STRONG

VGK 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Rally for Riley

One of our dear employees, Krissy Lough, has a two-year-old son Riley, who has been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. End Stage Renal Disease is the last stage of chronic kidney disease and occurs when the kidneys fail. One of the few treatments available for this disease is a kidney transplant. Riley is fortunate enough that his grandma’s kidney is a perfect match and is scheduled for his life saving surgery, October 24, 2017. As you can imagine, this is a very expensive surgery (over $500,000!) and is no easy feat for any family to gather for this much-needed transplant. Join Polar Shades at GameWorks on Thursday September 21, 2017 from 5pm – 8pm to take part in a fundraiser to help Riley and his family. St. Jude Dream Home

Polar Shades is committed to the Las Vegas and Henderson community, which is why they are proud to announce their involvement in the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a leader in cancer research and the dream home giveaway is one of the largest single-event fundraisers for the organization, raising over $325 million nationwide. With the help of Polar Shades and multiple companies around the Las Vegas area, a home is built from the ground up and raffled off to 1 of the 8,500 ticket purchasers. Polar Shades is happy to be a part of such a wonderful cause and contribute their products to the home. The winner of the house will be chosen October 11th, 2017. Edna F. Hinman ‘Thank You’ Letter

We wanted to take this opportunity to say Thank You for your extreme generosity to the students of Edna Hinman ES. The donations of: shoes, socks, underclothing, sweat pants, school supplies and sports equipment is unbelievable! As you know, the student population at Hinman ES is at-risk, not only educationally but in their daily lives. The items donated can help them to stay clothed and maintain their dignity in their public interactions. It also assists the school to maintain emergency clothing and shoe supplies so that they can remain in school, learning, when accidents happen.

As for the sport equipment, maintenance is half the battle. Items disappear or go missing and the budget is limited. Your assistance will help us to keep our students active, learning and enjoying sports since they are not as likely as others to be involved in sports beyond the school day.
